Fun ,Games and A Promise fulfilled!!

Firstly i would like to apologize to everyone who reads and follows my blog .. ever since the new year, life has been sooo busy..=). New job, new adventures, new occasions and new things to update my blog with . I guess need to find the time to just write it all down . But i promise i will update all soon. =).

Well, January had been an awesome month for me , besides me going to Bandung ( which i will update soon, sorry guys !!) , hubs and me also went other places and enjoy other things that i will update soon. But January was the month filled with games and fun activities.

Game One : Carom
Lolz, this game was quite popular when i was younger . SO it was YEEAARRRSSSS since i last played it . But on one of the fine weekends in January, my hubs, SIL and me wanted to go for a karaoke session at the Kelab Shah Alam. Since the karaoke place opened at 6pm and we were there quite early about 5pm. We decided to look around for things we could do to pass the time before the karaoke opened, and we soon found out that to play the carom was free except for the security deposit which was refundable..=)

So the game soon started , hahaha it was funny as we were all just flicking the tokens everywhere.. hahaha , however soon enough we were all starting to collect our pile of well earned winnings of tokens. From lucky shots it slowly progressed to well aims shots and pretty soon we were deliberately trying to make it hard to the others to shot and score a tokens.. hahaha . By the time it was 6pm we were still engrossed with the game and continued which we ended at about 625pm.

We didnt even realize the time was moving soo fast , we truly did enjoyed ourselves with this old school game . After the game we enjoyed about 4hours of karaoke sessions, hahhaha which i guess i conquered about half of the time singing my songs. Since it was pretty early and there wasnt anyone there i was totally enjoying myself and felt like i was putting on a concert of my own .. hahaha Not that my singing is that good, but the main is i enjoyed myself.. Thats what counts !!

Game two : Stacking Block Game
During one of the weekends, i had some friends over for a steamboat lunch (anticipate the entry soon) and besides eating, chitchatting and just watching tv.. hahhaha i am slowly filling my house with easy simple and fun game boards, card games and other fun game idea..=). One of the first ones was a mini block game, which you have to remove one block when it is your turn. So each takes a turn and removing a block and putting it back at the top of the stack and this circle continues until the tower of unstable blocks come tumbling down and that person is the "loser" of the game .. hahaha ...

This one if played with awesome ppl could be the most fun game ever !!! hahaha After the leaning tower falls ,it will be assembled again and played with much laugh and concentration hahaha . And if you wanna make it more fun, decide a dare or punishment that will be carried out by the "loser". hahaha this would make the game more interesting as NOBODY wants to lose and have to do the dare ... hahaha ... FUN FUN FUN!!!!

Game Three : Driving Range
HAhaha, this activity is a MUST to be mentioned as this was a promise made almost 8years plus ago. Some back story on how this came along, when hubs and i FIRST started dating 8years ago. He used to tell me stories of how his playgrounds was golf courses and golf clubs here and there. So, i requested that he introduced me to golfing. Hahaha , his exact promise was "ONE OF THESE DAYS.." . That one of THESE days was succesfully granted after 8years.. hahaha .
Well, this one fine weekend in JAnuary of 2013, I decided to treat hubs, my brother and Nadhirah to a dimsum lunch at holiday Villa subang (check it out) after buying an online voucher that made it affordable to go and enjoy the meals. After the delicious meals, we decided to make the weekend into a fun one and hubs brought along his old golf set and we set out to the driving range in Subang jaya nearby Empire Gallerry and got two buckets (200) of golf balls and soon he was teaching us the correct technics to hold the clubs and proper swinging movements .
Funny enough i dont know if we were ALL doing it correctly but i just loved it when i proved him wrong. He and his uncle kinda made fun and said i couldnt even hit it high and a distance and i did it after trying out less then 20 hits.. hahaha doesnt matter if it wasnt that far but i still it made it to the 70meter distance . hahahha. Well, since we didnt have any gloves and the clubs were all male clubs. My arms we slowly getting blisters and it started to ache (clubs were sooo heavy!!).

We all took turns hitting, since it wasnt that full on that weekend we conquered two spaces for us two  couples. I could safely say yes the boys were much better than us girls but  us girls werent soo far behind too.=). After almost 2hours we finally finished our 200 golf balls . I have never thought that golf would be soo tiring and considering it as an exercise  But we were all sweating like crazy and aching all over by the time we finished. We all went back home and everyone took a good nap hahaha ...

Anyways, Till my next entry!!!
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog..
Cheers!!!

Korean delight @Gangnam Station Shah Alam

We'll if you guys have read my previous blog entry, you would know by now that i am slowly getting korean crrrraazzzyyyy..... So, when my Sistere in law told me that there was a new korean restaurant opened nearby her old tuition centre, we just had to go try it out . So far the day went awesome .. hahaha ... We played a game of old school carom , went for about 4 hours of karaoke and then straight to dinner .
Since BOTH my Sister-in-law (SIL)Nora Jane and I both are korean crazyy.. hahah .. My friend Wawa and her was the one who influence me in my journey into korean-ism. So, we were watching our korean shows/drama, we said there was a new korean restaurant that opened nearby their house so during our karaoke session it was already decided that there was where we will be having dinner . After the tiring 4hours (actually i could still go on ) ... We made our way to the gangnam station.
Upon reaching , we realize that it used to be a mexican restaurant before it was changed to a korean restaurant . The menu is very limited and the dishes are all sharing sizes and prices are what i would say quite steep . If you were to divide it to the amount of ppl who is sharing, its is actually quite affordable but for me the downside is that you cant try different types of dishes at one go. Since even the basic bibimbap was still unavailable (at the time that i went) , we choose the safest menu item bulgogi set.

Bulgogi set was served with the following ,
a) Bulgogi set - a huge portion of beef, clear noodle ,mushroom and vege enough to share 3-4 people depending on appetite..=) (Rm60 perportion)
b) All meals are served with an all-you-can-eat side dishes which may vary from day to day but the staple kimchi is of course served. Thou if u asked me the kimchi was too mild ..
c) Rice has to be ordered separately and each bowl is charged . (Rm3 per bowl)
d) All drinks are priced um slightly expensive for my taste even plain water was charged at rm1 per glass.
The array of side dishes that was served when we came. It will change form day to day.. =)
The bowl of rice is expensive but i gotta say it did taste good..
Just look at the huge pile of beef, mushroom and jap chae.. Yummy yum yum!!
My sister in law Nora Jane look how huge it is in front of her ..=)
Close up of the bulgogi..=)
After we put the vege and waiting for it to start  cooking and boiling..
Basically we could pretty much say we were quite satisfied with the portion of the meal is just that if they could offer a choice to get a smaller portions at least we could have ordered and tried several items on the menu at a go ..=).. But other than that i would say the place is quite ok and the taste was not too bad .. But my choice would still be The Street Cafe ..So i guess thats my view on this new restaurant . A last comment , if they could make the place look and feel a bit more kerean would be awesome . Like mayb some decorations and nick-nacks that would make ppl be interested in korean culture more. Buzz Korea!!!

Cheers and till my next entry ..!!
