~ Me Love Quiche ~

Hehehe, Have you ever heard of Quiche ?? Do you know what is quiche? Lolz, its kinda like an open savoury tart with a rich custard filling topped with chicken, onion, cheese, spinach etc.. and all any other topping you desire...=).

Last weekend my mom and I made roast chicken, roasted potatoes  and steamed cauliflower for dinner..=).. Wow, yummilicious...!!! Since we were cooking, we also decided to make quiche. The best thing about baking quiche is that , we can bake it today and enjoy it for days later...=)...

What me and my mom love to do, is raid the fridge for any vegetable that is a fortnight away from going bad...=)... Save what we can and no wastage...=)...*winkzz* ... Since we had a lot of vegetables, we decided to make a vegetarian quiche.... um.. Awesome...!!

What we decided to put into the quiche was, fresh button mushrooms, brocolli, capsicum, tomatoes, garlic and onions... First we chopped and dice all the vegetable and stir fry it so that its cooked and ready to be baked. of course not forgetting to season it well...=)

While i was cutting, dicing and frying all the vegetable..My mom rolled out the dough that she had prepared earlier..*secret recipe*..lolz, Then mix eggs, milk and cream together to form a light custard mixture.. leave it aside. Grate any cheese you prefer and leave it aside. We prefer Cheddar or mozzarella..=).. Cheesie!!

After rolling the dough ,we molded it into the baking pan .We poke some holes in to the dough but not reaching the pan. Just on the surface of the dough just so it cooks faster and equally. Then we bake it first till its golden brown and cooked thoroughly. Even my kitty cat Samson wants to help hahaha ...=)

Then we scoop the pre-cooked vegetables and level it off in the pan. Next we poured the custard like mixture on top and top it off with cheese... then we bake and wait.. wait and wait.... hehehe ... and This is how it look when its done ... Yummilicious indeed!!!

While everything was done, we basked our chicken with olive oil, herbs and spices. Cut potatoes and carrots and roast everything together... and My -oh-my... hehehe It turned out great.. healthy, yummy and
fulfilling..!!!! hehehe ... Well, this was our weekend dinner. Btw, we dont really do this every weekend... Once in a while we do make it special...=)...

Its not the food that makes it special, Its the people you share it with..!!.=)

samson was as busy staring at us preparing food... It was his way of helping... lolz..  hahaha

And i LOVE my Family...!!..=)

~ April Fool Bday for the sisters ~

Welcome Izza , to the 25th of age gang ..!! hahaha ... A year older.. and a year wiser.. But definitely more fun, adventure and prosperous years ahead. hahaha ... Her bday falls on the pitiful jokester date known as "April Fool Day " a.k.a 1st April .. lolz... Back in school i remember how ppl will prank her even worse since its her bday... with eggs.. flour... water balloons... and soooo much more.. haha .. Mayb i should have planned something like that for u . Lolz...

Anyways, Izza invited me for her small bday celebration that she co-shared with her beautiful sister Amirah...=).. It was a very intimate and warm environment, surrounded with family and a few friends. We all had a blast as her aunts are all loud, cool and just plain fun..!! Seronok ade aunts or people like in ur family like that..!!

My friendshp history with Izza goes wwwaaaaaaayyyyy back.. lolz. We first knew each other back in Primary 1 and a part of Primary 2 in SRK SS19. After that she had to leave to UK with her family. As her parents got transferred there. Suddenly in Primary 6 , we met again when she enrolled in SRK SS17 , Subang Jaya. We were all not the same people.. but we still remembered each other !!

Soon we all proceed to Secondary school in SMK SS17, although we were never in the same clique of people but we still remained friends....=)... Even after school, we even embarked on an adventure together known as National Service (NS).. lolz in Setiu, Terengganu. Lucky i had a familiar face there .And we still remained friends and meet up every few months ...=)..

Anyways, back to the bday party..!! =).. hahahh ..  Before this turns out into one sappy sad story.. haha .. Anyways, for the past 18 years of friendship, that was my first time stepping foot into her house and meeting her whole entire family and the full set of siblings...5 Sisters....=).. Lolz.. I even reconnected with another old friend Asreena Ramdan. We were all friends and known each other since Primary school days .. and since we all living in the same area.

Never too far apart.. lolz.. It was fun , reconnecting and minggling with Izza's UITM friends, cousins , aunts and cute nieces,,!! hahaha ... especially getting to meet up old friends was what i cherished most of the whole night..!!

It was a FUN night and thanks to Izza for inviting me . Hope u liked the little something i gave, Its nothing much but something that u could enjoy..!! Happy 25th bday..!! May god bless u always and forever.!!

~ Steam-rolling her way up ~

One of my bestie ,Nik Nur Atiqah Ghazali has just started venturing in to the working world. And she's not taking baby steps.. She's steamrolling her way and making a mark in Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn Bhd !!!! You go Girl!!!

I am sooo proud of her. hehehe , she is one tough cookie. Tito and i will definitely gonna miss her since she is awesome and loved by both of us. Hahahaa .... Anyways, it didnt matter that  they only met once .. But im happy they hit it off..=)... And boy did we had fun...

First we all headed to Sushi King Subang Parade. Truthfully back in those primary secondary school days i love sushi king. But a few years back i notice their service, portion and outlook is kinda boring, expensive and just ridiculous. So i was at first kinda sceptical when Iqa suggested going to dinner at sushi king. She was raving that the set meal are affordable and not bad. I couldnt seem to change her mind..lolx.. and so we went there..and since Tito and i are in the saving, budgeting mood.. anything affordable we dont mind!!.

They kinda had a renovation , new paint , new look and new feel for the ambiance of the place. Like i said its been years since i last step foot in any Sushi King. But, i would admit, the new look gives it a calm and cozy feeling. Anyways, my fiance Tito join us for dinner. We proceed to order dinner set meal all costing less than Rm20 with a few exceptions on salmon and 2 other dishes. But the portion was not bad, it did filled us up and we were satisfied with our dinner. We were all famished when the food arrive that i kinda forgot to take a picture of the set meals..lolz..However, the service was kinda slow and um, the workers are not that attentive... Management please do something!! Place is nice already now polish up on the service..!!

My bestie, has one of most sweet tooth people i know. That we all just HAD to walk to Empire Shopping Gallery to get dessert... *winks*!! The first destination was crowded and full to the max of people dining for dinner and supper. So, we decide to try a new place called "OPERA Bakery & Coffee House". It was quiet , when we walked in we were the only customers around. However, we decided to just give it a try either ways .

They had a small selection of cakes, macarons and brownies. We decide to try the Red Rose (its actually red velvet..=)) and another was a Nutty Crunchy Milk Crepe (i think that was what its called..=). huhuhu... But its a layered crepe cake... Very nice , not that sweet, its airy and fluffy and just plain melts in ur mouth. But the winner hands down is the Red Rose. I have tried a few red velvets before and I could admit. This was one of the best i ever..EVER .. had.=).. not too sweet.. not too cream cheesey.. and just nice. Yummy,..!!!

I keep going on and on and on about foods that i didnt tell ya why we all kinda said goodbyes.. lolz... She left to Johor Bahru on Sunday. She was transferred there to learn and take care of the East Coast legion of merchandising for Unilever. Its whats she's always wanted and its what she will be great at ..!!!! hehehe .. Good luck babe, and i hope that Tito and I will get a chance to visit u there one day ..=).. althought i was born there but i could almost say i know nothing of Johor Bahru. Mayb visiting u will give me a chance to reconnect with my roots ..?? lolz.. muahss babe. keep intouch and Please know i miss u soo...

Hugxx and kisses..

~ Elephant Sanctuary, Lanchang ~

My mom told me i would drive her and my dad nuts with watching Disney's DUMBO cartoon. They had a VCR copy of it and i would play it again and again and again and again.. hehehe ... And , after watching it sooo many times i even know every single line... Well, I USED too.. lolz...

But it is one of my most favourite Disney Original movies..!!=)..My mom would tell me stories of how i keep telling, wishing and begging her to have a pet elephant.. hahaha .. lolz.. It didnt came true if that whats ur thinking.. hahaha ... but i got the next best thing...=)
Well, my parents and i enjoyed having some quality family time once in a while and if possible we dont wanna have to spend much to enjoy bonding time..... Not in a cheapskate way, more in a smart spending way..=) And so, my dad found this elephant adoption sanctuary. Where they keep, breed, adopt and save endangered elephant or wild elephants which they caught in the construction and extensions of our modern living.

We started our day pretty early, as we were all pretty hype about our family adventure. We stopped at the tanah rata R&R which is the same one that people commonly stop to go up to Genting Highland. We had brunch there and continue our way to lanchang, Pahang. But before we departed the R&R my brother and i . well ok.."I' admit that "I" wanted to take a picture with the military truck.=).. Jakun (dumbstruck) i know...=).Even the military guy was kinda snickering at me.. But i didnt care.. it was kinda cool..=).. *blush*

So we continued driving about an hour plus from the R&R and it was an interesting drive. I have always been a "City Girl".. I sometimes hate to admit it, cause i dont wanna sound superficial.. =)..but i am, and so when i saw the livestock animals in the rural part of the city we were in. I was super excited at the same time kinda sound dumbstrucked by everything. haha . I love chicken, meat and lamb. But seeing them live and real.. kinda *hehe* bring out the giddy kiddy in me..Lolz..

After about a total of 2 hours driving from my house, we finally reached the sanctuary and boy it was inspiring for me to learn that they do not charge any admission fee's. They survive on the generosity of the visitors, you may contribute or donate any amount that u wish to give sincerely . I mean it doesnt get any more admirable then that. Rather that places who charge heart-dropping rate for the same experience..

Well, even for the cheapo ppl...Pls donate..!! I advise all who does visit this place donate something even a small donation of rm10 perperson or about rm50 for a group of people would help tremendously .My parents made a donation of rm100 in the name of our family. And it made us feel good to help for such an admirable cause...=).. I mean look at the happy elephant , you know u 've helped such a wonderful cause..!!

We kinda came a bit too early for the feeding time. So funnily enough, we bought banana's and peanut packets from home to feed the elephants so that we didnt have to buy  there. Bringing from home is muchhh cheaper ..=).. But while waiting we kinda finish a packet and some of the banana's .. lolz.. bad i know,we felt guilty afterwards..hahaha

However, we found out later that we didnt have to bring food from home as they prepare and brought out stocks and piles of fruits for us to feed the elephants...=)... i had the most fun feeding them.. They r the most gentle animals.. heheh .. They brought out about 4-5 adult elephants and 3 baby elephants.. hehehe .. and the babies are sooo adorable... Making me, give my mom that pleading look.. and she laughed and retold the story of dumbo.... Um.. awesome family memories.. hehehe

The whole family bought extra clothes to join the "Take a bath with the elephants".. hahaa.. Wanna know something kinda disgusting...?? really...?? you sure..?? ok.ok.. hahah .. well, since I thought we were gonna be bathing with the elephants.. I kinda skip my morning bath that day... lolz. But sadly, that day the activity was cancelled because the water level was too high and they didnt wanna risk any injuries or accidents.Since it was cancelled. I went to the public toilets they have there and took a shower either ways.. hahaha .. pathetic i know,.. lolz..

Before we left the sanctuary, we lined up to get a chance to ride the elephant. I would torture him i know, since i could weight as much as the baby elephant... but... but.... but... oh shut up..!!=)... hahaha .. I JUST WANNA !!.. And it was an awesome and fun experience...!!=)... and i would do it again .. and again.. and AGAIN!!.. hehehe.. This is defintely an awesome place for photo opp, family adventure, gathering of friends or just a outing for no reason..!!!
