I love trying out new things...And normally whenever i go to the Chillies restaurants here in Kuala Lumpur, my most favourite thing to order is the Quesadilla. I know i couldn't make it exactly as it was from the chain restaurant. But i decided to try to make it as close as i could...=).. Lets see how i make it...!!=)
All the ingredient you need are as below,
1) Tortilla bread. You can get it at any supermarket. If i could get, i rather use the garlic ones..=) |
2) I used my home-made bolognese sauce (beef/chicken/vegetarian). |
3) Cheese, i prefer to mixed mozzarella and cheddar cheese or u can choose either one will do. |
I started with putting a bit of butter in a pan on a medium heat stove, when the butter melted i place the tortilla bread in the pan about 1minute on each side(may take longer depending on the heat of the stove). Flipping the tortilla the moment hot air begins to blow up the tortilla. The moment i flipped the tortilla the second time, I would put about 2 tablespoon of my homemade sauce on the tortilla and soon sprinkle about 2-3 tablespoon of mixed cheese on top of the sauce.
The moment that the cheese was on top on the sauce i would fold the tortilla and continue to grill the tortilla and both side until all the cheese has melted and that the tortilla and hold its contents in place. These will take about
2-3minutes and then remove the tortilla from the pan and let it cool of a cutting board/plate for a few minutes more before cutting
it into smaller portions.
it into smaller portions.
With any food there mush be a drink, normally hubby and me prefer to just drink any plain cold water with our meals. But after looking through the fridge and seeing that we had some watermelon fruit and looking through our pantry we also can can fruits. So , we decided to mixed those two up and see what we can come out with .
1) 1 can of lycee. Any brand will do. But i prefer to use a good one so it doesnt taste funky.. =). |
2) We had about half watermelon left. So we use all of it..=) |
Ok, this one is sooooo easy.... lolz... Place all of ur watermelon in a blender, pour about 1/4 of the syrup on the blender. You may adjust the amount of the syrup (more/less) according to your sweet level.=). For me i really like the lychee flavour, so i put half of the lychee thats inside of the can into the blender. And just flick the switch.. Easy as that.. And let the blender juizz it up for a few minutes and since i had about 4-5 tablespoon of vanilla ice cream left in the tub that i just blend it all in..=).. So its not really a smoothie.. lolz.. but close enough, more ice-cream would've been better...
This is how the Juice/Smoothie looked like after its all Juizz Up..!! =) |
After the quesadilla has been made and the juice/smoothie is ready... what else is there to do u ask ..?? Well, to eat of course..!!! But with all the cheese and juices and sweetness, i had to balance it out with a side dish of salad... Plain butterhead salad all chopped up and then hubby and I , dug into our dinner. Check out how it all turned out .
Our dinner..Tadaa.. Simple and awesome!! If i could say so myself..!! |
Well, me and hubby love trying out new things to do ...So Follow my blog and see what i am up too...=)..Btw, this are sooo good that i have done it a few times since this.. And i realise, when i make my sauce i prefer to make it less saucy , in order to make a nicer, more crunchier Quesadilla..!!
Do leave me a comment if u know any other easy way to make quesadilla..=)
Till next time... Toodles..~~!!
