Its been a while since we last had a good family gathering ... I mean while my mom was sick and the months after her passing i wasn't in the mood to do anything much . Life was much better because i had family, Hubs and my brother around. Well, truthfully this gathering happened in October ..=).. Sorry for the late upload... Lolz, Anyway this gathering was coincidently was the same day as what would have been my late mothers 52nd birthday ..
That morning we all gathered at Uncle Whye's house. Atok Cha made her famous nasi lemak , sambal sotong, pancake and one of her other well known dishes kuah durian. hahaha...Im not a fan of Durian, so i ate mine with butter and honey .. hhahah lolz
One of my uncle had a briliant idea of grilling bananas , covered with brown sugar.. OOOO, its soo delicious..!!!! everyone decided they want one their own, even i made one for myself .. hehehe ...
After breakfast , we explore the house a bit ..

After Exploring the whole house we all really needed to cool down in the pool. It was hot and the house was huuuggeeee!!! hahaha ..So the funny part was ... even my grandma wanted to swim with us. Lolz.. she even changed clothes and wanted to be piggy ride around the pool... Hahaha .. funny enough she even had her "sexy"hair flipping moments ... =)... Boy did she have fun!!=)

Althought its only our first time here that time.. we are all like fish missing water .. hahaha ... everyone changed and jumped, splashed, dived and lazing around in the cool pool on this hot hot day ... wah... i think we all spent about 3-4 hours lazing by the pool.. Wow, even all of us cant help but to enjoy. I think this was the first time in a loonngg time that we had this many cousins hanging out and go for a laze and swim.. In the late afternoon even my brother's girlfriend Nadirah even joined us for a dip.Even she didnt wanna leave the pool lolz...
After the few hours in the pool,we were all were hungry by the time we came out.Since we all had friend rice and pancakes in the morning we didn't wanna repeat the same menu. So luckily our uncle had some beef in his fridge and i brought over sausages, we did an adhoc BBQ tea/early dinner meal. Lolz, the meal was freshly marinated and grilled on the charcoal BBQ pit. It was superb!!!!!
My hubby loves working at the pit, so i guess he was the pit master of the day accompanied by my brother Dani too... =). Nadirah and me also helped here and there.. hehehe . Not to forget another round of grilled banana's was served lolz.. the only thing that was missing was ice cream. But everything was perfectly delicious..!!!!
After the BBQ dinner, we all again as a family laze around watching tv, chit-chat, and pretty soon hubs and me were on the way to send Katie back home, Dani sending Nadirah and basically everyone was getting ready to go home. It was such a beautiful ending for a beautiful day . Family day and my belated mothers 52nd bday .
