Forefront Idol..!!

Forefront Studio (FFS) march activity was held in Damansara. As we have previously done, dancing, baking and event a concert at MPO. This month they decided to conduct a Forefront Idol. i think its cause of the American Idol fever that is going on.

There are about 22 of us in the company and for every monthly event we have a budget. And the budget would not allow us to held the Idol in any big name karaoke place. However, a few of the awesome teammember's located a place in  Kota Damansara that is an affordable yet simple place to karaoke. 

Its a no hassle, no cover charge, no alcohol and very awesome price range. And with a whole lot of us coming one short, i was worried that it was over the budget. Althought it kinda was, but everyone had an awesome time . About 2-3 weeks before the date of the event we were assigned to a partner.
 It was done by the guys randomly picking a girls name out of the bag that was passed around. That way everyone was equally divided and no one can simply choose their partner. This was done as so we can get to know our colleagues much better.

I was matched with Jack Tan my Senior Art Director, hehehe.. it took us quite sometime to ick the song that we wanted to perform. I like oldies but he prefers an english song that doesnt have much wording in it. And he didnt want a chinese
 song as he wanted to challenge himself to be able to sing an english song. So after much planning,listing and crossing out our list of songs. I decided to go for 'Billionaire' by Bruno Mars and Travie McCoy.

Before this i would have jump at singing Bruno's part only, but since he didnt wanna rap. Well, yours truly had to give it a go. I would say i was never and will be a great singer. But i was ok i guess.. haha ... it was something new to me.. and i kinda enjoyed it. but i dont think i will attempt to sing any other rap songs though..=)

A few of the performances was awesome was it was sooo unpredictable...hehehe... Yensim and Affendi sang 'Melodi' by Sheila Majid and Lim Yu Zhong, Priya and Andy sang "Come Together' by Beatles, Para and Darien sang "You  Raise Me Up" Westlife version ,
Nabil and Michelle " DOnt Go breaking My Heart " (Elton John and Kiki Dee) and some other sang some Chinese songs...=).. We had a mixed culture and it brought up the team spirit with most of the team,.

One of the most memorable one was when Ian and Faranadia decided that rather that singing, they wanna stand out from the crowd. Both of them  performed a great act , with Ian being the "Body" of the show and Fara was "the Hand". hahaha ... its kinda hard to explain to u how it was.. lolz.. although both of them will be soo angry for e putting this video up... But i have to share it... its soo awesome!!..=).. hahaha

All in all it was an awesome night with awesome people performing for the fun of things.. hehehe ... But everyone had made a signage of Likes and Dislikes .. hehehe .. these are some of it... It was awesome...The place allows us to bring outside food. So we had a fun time eating Dominoes Pizza, KFC and not to forget to celebrate the people born in the month of April. We also had cake from Secret Recipe... yeah..!! Awesome company, food and entertainment.. hehe Whats more..?/ Till next awesome activity..!! Ciao!!
