Lending a helping hand

Making a difference in the world not matter how insignificant it may seem to you, could make a family out there happy . Well, this year a few of my friends decided to Make a difference in the only way they could. They and a few of their families organise this charity collection of clothes, toys, groceries and any things that is still reusable and donate them to families around Kuala Selangor and Kapar (Klang).

How they plan it was very organized. They made a list of groceries for ppl to donate. They can either donate loose item and whatever it is that they feel like it . But they made a list of groceries to give to each families.

The list goes like this ,
1) 5kg rice
2)Powdered Milk
3)Condensed Milk
4)Sardines
5)Sugar
6)Salt
7)Atta Flour
8)1 Liter Oil
9)Curry Powder
10) Pappadum
11) Milo
12)Maggi /Meehoon
13)Dhal

They made a list so that each family has equal amount of things . So it was easier that for everyone who wants to donate can donate according to family. For me, I couldn't really afford to sponsor a family so me and my friend Fara shared and sponsored a family. Im shocked that at home, my mom would spend hundreds for the whole month family groceries. And even then we still take things for granted and demand some new type of food stuff /brand and/or products that just came into the market .

However, for some family a donation of RM100 worth  Groceries of the basic food stuff was enough for them to survive and feed their entire family . It makes me appreciative of all the things my mom ever did to keep a roof under my head,to feed my entire family  and to care for all of us when we needed her the most. So me and Fara sponsored one family while our other friend Parames sponsored 4 families. How awesome is that ??

Total for that weekend itself they have collected and sponsored about 60 families. In quantity thats a lot... Thats like huge. They organised everything even giving the kids each a party packs thats filled with jellies, chocolates, sweets, snacks and even pre-loved toys ... However, because they were sooo many kids and not enough toys. They didnt have the hearts to distribute the toys and asked that the leader of place to make the distribution later on. At the venue , some of the volunteers was overwhelmed by the situation and was deeply moved and vow to return and visit again.

Sometimes helping others, makes you learn ,
realise and appreciative of all we ever had.
May God bless them all, who have ever made a difference in someone's life.
And may God bless you, if you have ever made a difference.
I know and i feel Blessed to have this life that i have.
